// About Dextra

The capstone for Fitchburg State's Game Design program is a simulated game studio environment, wherein students work together to make games full time. My pitch was for the game that would become Dextra, a game in which you can switch the game's genre at will in order to change how you interact with the world.

It was certainly an ambitious project, perhaps overly so for the four-month timeframe in which the game had to be developed. Still, we managed to get a lot done over the course of the semester. There are seven genres available to the player in the game, all able to be freely switched between. There were two programmers on the project, but among my personal contributions are the cutscene system, the save system, and the RPG combat system.
